个人简介

Teaching English is certainly a joy to me and gives me immense satisfaction both on a personal and professional level. Since I obtained the Cambridge Diploma in CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) in New York, it has given me a deeper insight as to the various and newest English teaching mechanisms available.

For the past 15 years, I have taught English in a variety of places to students of different levels both in Taiwan and the US, which has given so much on how to adapt my teaching style to suit the students’ respective cultural background, social requirements and specific needs.

Since the spring of 2014, I have been fortunate enough to set foot on the land of China, started my teaching journey in International College of Xiamen University. Then I found that students in China are still in lack of opportunity to learn and practice English which is essential for their future careers and to gain access to the global communities.

With this aim in mind, I structured my lessons very carefully, and adopted all sorts of methods for students to acquire the language while using the context of any subject matter so that students can learn the language by using it within the specific context rather than learn a language by memory. Thus, my goals toward English teaching is to effectively increase learners' English language proficiency and teach them the skills necessary for the success in various professions. Thus, the learners would gradually acquire greater control of the English language, which will enable them to participate more fully in an increasingly complex academic and social environment.

For the past 10 years, I have to taught English in a variety of places to students in different level both in Taiwan and the US, which taught me how to adapt my teaching style to suit the student’s respective cultural background, social requirements and specific needs.
