Miami University Held a Lecture in Our School

On the afternoon of October 24, 2018, teacher Li Xue, head of the China office of Miami University,visited the International college and delivered a lecture for students of the Sino-US 2+2 project in room C305 of Kunluan building. The students gave a warm welcome to teacher LI Xue.

 


In the lecture, Miss Li showed the overview of Miami University  through PPT with pictures and texts. Miami University is a public research University located in Ohio, USA.Founded in 1809, the school was one of the first eight public ivy league universities in the United States. It ranked 10th of the oldest university in American history, and it ranked 96th in the comprehensive ranking of American universities. It represents the top level of American public universities and enjoys a high reputation worldwide.

 

Through the publicity, students not only had a good understanding of Miami University 's national ranking, curriculum and academic advantages, but also gained more information about transferring to another campus and choosing a major. The five campuses of Miami University  adopt the method of unified ranking, unified management and unified awarding of degrees. Each campus can select courses among each other, there is no restriction on campus for applying for major, and any campus can be converted after completing 16 credits and GPA2.0 or above.

 

In addition, Ms. Li also shared the video of the study and life in Miami University  for senior students of the Chinese and American program of our school level 16, and gave a detailed explanation on the security issues, living conditions, dining hall and surrounding life of American colleges and universities that students are concerned about.

 

After the lecture, many students were still eager to communicate with teacher Li Xue and asked questions about studying in the United States and applying to the school.Teacher Li Xue patiently answered the questions and provided good advice and guidance for students' study and life.
