To provide more opportunities to excellent students of our university to study abroad, we specially forward University of California Irvine 2017 summer semester project information. Details of the project are as follows:
1. the project brief:

University of California Irvine (UCI) was established in 1965. Although the University of California Irvine has a relatively short history of 50 years, it already has teaching strength as a large scientific research school as well as friendly atmosphere as a small institution. Beautiful campus, good law and order, strong faculty, rich extracurricular activities are owned by the University of California Irvine.

For all participants, you can choose from at least 6 courses in more than 70 studies, and study with full-time students at the University of California Irvine, where you can earn at least 6 points of Irving. The project is taught by the top teachers, and students can participate in the authentic American elite courses to experience the academic philosophy of the world's top learning hall; During the period of six weeks, you can become UCI regular school students, experience UCI students common school life and enjoy resource sharing; Actively participating in teaching interaction, students can not only get academic counseling and support of UCI teachers, but also can improve their ability to communicate. In the spare time, in addition to participating in various types of studio visits, academic discussions, student associations and other activities, the organizers will organize international students to go to the beach at weekends, Los Angeles and some other famous tourist attractions in California.

2. The project time

August 5, 2017 - September 14, 2017

3. The selection criteria

1. Our school full-time undergraduate or graduate students;

2. moral and intellectual all-round development, excellent academic performance;3. English performance to meet: IELTS 6.5 points, or TOEFL IBT80 points, or pass the written examination and interviews held by organizers.

4. The project costs: $ 6880.

Project fees include: tuition (6 credits), application fee, campus facilities, insurance, accommodation, visa fees (only the first face), campus service fees.

The project fee does not include international round-trip air tickets (in principle, unified booking), SEVIS FEE, meals, transportation, baggage overweight, personal shopping, and other expenses except "other expenses".
If you need to take more credits, you will need to pay an additional tuition fee of $ 342 per credit.

5. The application method

6. School procedures
1. Complete the information registration on the website of International Office before May 25^th. Registration process diagram see:

Note: "send semester" please select "2017 summer", "dispatch period" please fill out "6 weeks".

2. Download and fill out the "Xiamen University Student Exit and Outbound Exchange Application Form" (Annex 3) and the "Xiamen University Overseas Exchange Project Consent" (Annex 4), and submit the paper version to Teacher Lin in Office 809 of the main building before June 6.

3. Based on previous experience, some colleges would subsidize some students, so students can consult the College. If you are sure that the college will subsidize you, please be sure to contact your college secretary of foreign affairs as soon as possible before proceeding.

8. Important tips
1. If you do not have the passport, please pass your passport as soon as possible. Students who have passports must check that the validity period of the passport must be after December 31, 2017.

2. You can only choose one summer vacation project during the same period, please do a good job planning.
